GENETICALLY MODIFIED TOMATODesign + Story
Is a tomato a fruit, vegetable or animal? Since 1994, tomatoes are spliced with genes from fish, insects and nuts so that they can survive in freezing conditions and never soften. I juxtaposed imagery we often associate with organic, farmed tomatoes against genetically modified, lab manufactured tomatoes to question what's really hidden inside our "organic" tomatoes to make them so resilient.
